"This is a trail to reach the famous Pearl Valley Waterfalls or the Pearl Valley Drop as it is originally called. The drop is created by a rivulet that originates from the Anekal catchment area. To reach this spot, head out of Bangalore on Hosur Road. Once past Koramangla you will hit the 14km long elevated highway to Electronics City. At the end of this fly-over, you will be at the suburb of Attibele. From Attibele, turn right towards the town of Anekal onto SH35. Although the road is supposed to be a state highway, it is not uncommon to find it completely broken. You will certainly begin to admire your Scorpio’s abilities now. Once in the town of Anekal, keep continuing ahead to exit the town on the same road. Don’t look for sign boards as there are none. Shops don’t stock stuff that city folks consume so don’t bother to purchase anything here. Also remember to carry everything you need. When In Anekal, you will be passing through Bazar Street (SH35). At the exit of Bazar Street, the road begins to curve left. Turn off the road exactly 1.1 km to your right onto a mud track. The track is wide enough for your Scorpio so no need to worry about anything here. Continue on this very slow track for 2.9km. If you do encounter anything like a fork on this road, take the left. At the 2.9km mark, you will start to see and hear the rivulet, from this point; the track runs parallel to the stream until you hear the roar of the waterfall. The track here is rocky and undulating but nothing your Scorpio cannot handle. At the base of the Pearl Valley Drop, there is a large clearing created by many vehicles that have gone before so it makes it easier to park. You will see an occasional family or a group of friends at this spot as it is popular amongst locals. The locals are friendly only when sober hence it is recommended that you travel in a larger group than alone. There is no rain shelter here other than your own vehicle so packing umbrellas should be ideal. The spot is calm with no interference from locals or the police, especially on a weekday and a great place to unwind with a book and music. Remember, you will always be within mobile phone coverage in case of emergencies."
