Mahindra & Mahindra have always had a close relationship with India's defence forces. The rugged and reliable Mahindra vehicles have often been used by these services, and the Scorpio is proud to be one of their favorites. One of India's most renowned regiments, the Assam Rifles, recently completed 175 years of glorious service. To celebrate this momentous occasion, they wanted to spread awareness about their regiment and the various North-Eastern states that have a history of being some of India's most loyal army men.
A rally featuring four trusted Scorpios was planned out spanning 13 days, 3000 km and a number of cities as they journeyed from Delhi to Imphal. The event was flagged off in New Delhi by Shri Ajay Makan, Hon'ble Minister of State Home Affairs, and was flagged-in at Imphal almost two weeks later. The route they followed Varanasi-Buxar-Patna-Khagaria-Purnia-NJP-CoochBihar-Guwahati-Shillong and Dimapur. The message of "Friends of the Hill People" was conveyed to thousands of people all along the way.
What better way was there to show Mahindra's solidarity towards our armed forces than by being part of this Blaze of Glory rally? After all, nothing less than this mightiest of vehicles would do to mark this important occasion.
